3 stars As a complement to the extended and original version of God in 3 Persons appeared the soundtrack, a shorter and only instrumental version of the songs appeared in the original LP. For those who have the long version, this record doesnīt add much, only the curiosity of listening the music witjout the lyrics and the narration. For those who donīt know the band, it could be a good point to start, because they can get introduced to the bandīs music (excellent music, thatīs for sure, in this recording) without the sometimes odd vocals. Also, being a brief record prevents from boring if you are not used to that music. Any way, one of the most accessible recrds of the band.

3.5 stars. Not really interesting for maniacs of the band, but very good record for beginners

2 stars I'm not sure why The Residents felt that they had to release this album, which is made up of selections from the "God In Three Persons" album, with the droning cowboy poetry removed. The music, in comparison with most of the band's previous releases, just isn't that good. Yeah, there are some weird rhythms and tones in there, but anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of the synthesizers of the mid eighties has a pretty good idea of how just about every sound was created. It just doesn't have that awe inspiring production that we had become used to from the eyeball guys.

Sure, their weaving of the psalm Holy Holy Holy into some of the songs is mildly clever, but only mildly. The two albums of "God In Three Persons" both leave me yearning for much more.
