3 stars Despite the poor audio quality, you can hear a band that is literally on fire. The performances on the recording are simply some of the best live performances and it also included add'l members on brass. The recording has been in trading circles for years so I am not surprised and rather happy that Voiceprint bundled this together with their other archive recordings of similar audio quality. The disc is for collectors primarily. Jimmy Hastings on flute is also quite recognizable in the muddy sound.
