2 stars I was given a copy of promo copy of 'The Great Outside' by a friendly record dealer, who had been given a stack of them by InsideOut, not long after the release of 'Fanatic'. As mentioned above, the Promo CD, issued in a cardboard sleeve, includes four tracks, three of which are from 'Fanatic' itself, and the fourth, 'Where In The World' from the 2000 studio album, 'Understand'.

It is interesting that the record company have used possibly the three most 'immediate' and upbeat tracks off the album, as well as the opener from 'Understand', no doubt to entice you back to the record shop, tenner in hand! I'm not sure whether this CD can be purchased anywhere now, but if you do find a copy, it's worth a listen as an introductory snap-shot of the band, but nothing more.

Personally, I gave mine to my sister, who puts it on occasionally as a break from Bryan Adams and Bon Jovi!!!
