Emerald Edge biography
The band was founded in 2002 by Volk and Martin who decided to put a progressive instrumental band together and after writing 2 songs, they tough that the song lacked a voice, especially a female voice. In 2003, drummer Andreas CHRIST joined the two. Finally, four months later, Tanja MAUL was chosen as a singer. They begin arranging the instrumental songs and make some demos. They put the material on the road playing in the Emergenza festival where they have made it in the finals. In March 2006 Tanja leaves the band because of musical differences. Alice ASCHAUER took the singer job with his powerful and versatile voice. The band has made 2 albums, 2 eps,one video and went through some line-up changes, the most recent is called "Surreal". The music delivers some very professional power Prog Metal with influences from VANDEN PLAS.
