Dead Empires biography
Founded in New York, USA in 2009

DEAD EMPIRES was for almost 10 years an instrumental band that incorporates many styles of music such as sludge, hardcore and math rock. The music is very heavy and has evolved a lot with the addition of the vocalist Jason Sherman (TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR). From the first album "Monuments" released in 2011, to the full length "Secret Snakes/Silent Serpent" the band has evolved pushing their own boundaries. Their music has been compared to MASTODON, NEUROSIS and CONVERGE, but this only tells you part of their sound that needs to be heard especially live with their powerful performances. The new album "Designed to Disappear" is still a step ahead in the prog metal style of what they have done in the past, but the band has maintained their intensity and the fun of playing music.
