Artikon biography
Founded in Varna, Bulgaria in 2009

ARTIKON is founded by Mirela VALENTIS (violin) and Galin IVANOV (vocals/guitars) as an instrumental project. Shortly after they compose their first orchestral piece "Evolution", Pt.1 (Creation). In the summer of 2013 the band is named Artikon (art icon) and in the autumn of the same year, Jorjeta Bill joins the band as a pianist. The trio started to record the first demos for the album. In June 2014 Konstantin JAMBAZOV joins Artikon as a bass player. In early 2015 the band entered Sonic Realm Studio to record their debut album "Evolution". Finally, they found the drummer Miroslav SLAVOV in the summer of the same year. The debut album "Evolution" is released in April 2018. Their music combines dark metal riffs with symphonic elements.
