Michael Giles MAD Band biography
Founded in 2009

Michael GILES is best know from the original King Crimson line-up and Giles, Giles Fripp. On leaving King Crimson in 71 Michael focused on solo and session work.

In 2009 he joined up with Adrian Chilvers (found sounds/horn) and guitarist Daniel Pennie under the Mad Band moniker. This band focused on a more improvisational style. The music is characterized by rapid changes of tempo & style moving between avant rock, jazz and more pastoral moods.

For the second album former King Crimson alum Keith Tippett was added.
