Gideons Mob biography
GIDEONS MOB is an Eclectic Prog band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania founded by lead guitarist Brian URSO. The band combines elements of rock, metal, classical and jazz fusion to make quite a unique sound which they call reminiscent of early 1970s British progressive rock.

They took their band name from the comic book characters Gideon Stargrave and his alter ego King Mob from the series "The Invisbles". Brian URSO is a longtime comics collector and a big fan of Grant Morrison, creator of the character.

The band cites their influences as David BOWIE, THE BEATLES, PINK FLOYD, RUSH, JETHRO TULL, CAMEL, URIAH HEEP, RAINBOW, KING CRIMSON, YES, GENESIS, QUEEN, DREAM THEATER, IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, BLACK SABBATH and many other classic artists.
