A Minor Forest biography
A San Francisco-oriented trio A MINOR FOREST started playing in 1993 after a drummer / frontman Andee CONNORS bumped into a bassist John Trevor BENSON and a guitarist Erik HOVERSTEN in the previous year. Being inspired by lots of progressive rock, punk, or pop vanguards, they released three albums: "Flemish Altruism" in 1996, "Inindependence" in 1998 respectively via a Chicago-based independent label Thrill Jockey Records, and "So, Were They In Some Sort of Fight?" in 1999 via My Pal God Records.

A MINOR FOREST came back upon stage around Cisco in 2013, and their debut creation "Flemish Altruism" was remastered and re-released in 2014.
