Exxon biography
EXXON is the solo project for POPPSYKOSEN's composer, lyricist, guitarist and occasional keyboardist Orla Hylleberg Eriksen.

Eriksen, realizing that POPPSYKOSEN was unable to fully satisfy his need for a music outlet, established EXXON circa 2000. This allowed him to structure the bulk of his work as long 20 minute plus epics formed by linking smaller keyboard-laden, symphonic pieces, a concept maintained to this day as evidenced by more than 40 CDs over the first 20 years. He handles all instruments including guitars and keyboards while relying on midi-programming and hard disk recording.

The music bears traces of his influences such as JIMI HENDRIX, CREAM, PROCOL HARUM, KING CRIMSON, MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND and MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA. The music is available for streaming (and to some extent, physical purchase) at POPPSYKOSEN's official website. Also, a limited number of releases are available at commercial streaming services.
