Proletarian biography
PROLETARIAN is the name of the project created by James GALE in 2018 in Hampshire, UK. The project began as a one-man effort with GALE writing several tracks that he found were stylistically and thematically cohesive. This soon turned into a concept album with Ross COLLINS performing on the drums while GALE performs everything else (vocals, guitars, keyboards, bass and etc). The debut album "Dreaming Through Dystopia" was released in 2020.

The music combines progressive metal passages with other styles to create a dynamic sound that falls on the boundary lines of Heavy Prog and Progressive Metal. Some of the bands that influence the music are THE CONTORTIONIST, PERIPHERY, DREAM THEATER, OPETH, PORCUPINE TREE and PLINI.
