Van Diemen biography
Founded by Patrick SCHMIDT from Tasmania, Australia, this project named VAN DIEMEN released it's debut, self-titled album in January of 2021. The music is riff heavy, epic and melodic death/folk metal with progressive and stoner influences all presented in a post-metal style format. There are long, ambient cresendos that develop into explosive riffs and folk-style melodies with help from vocalist Wild Eye from MAJAK.

VAN DIEMEN will appeal to fans of AMON AMARTH, AT THE GATES, INSOMNIUM, AGALLOCH, Steve VAI, AEOLIAN, AZARATH, CULT OF LILITH and KYUSS.
