Selcouth biography
SELCOUTH is a multi-national avant-garde progressive metal collective established in Oulu, Finland in 2013. The group consists of members from projects such as SMOHALLA, PRYAPISME, STAGNANT WATERS, KHANUS and others. Their first and so far only record, "Heart is the Star of Chaos", was distributed by like-minded record label I, Voidhanger in 2017, which demonstrated SELCOUTH's eclectic, jazzy and operatic style, very much influenced by Norwegian masters ARCTURUS and VED BUENS ENDE. SELCOUTH self-released a two-track single, "The Magic Bullet", two years later, featuring a remix and a song recorded for but intentionally left off the group's debut.

The label compares SELCOUTH to SOLEFALD, ARCTURUS, VIRUS, VED BUENS ENDE, SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM and PECCATUM as well as MAGMA, WEATHER REPORT and MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA.
