Formed 1999 in Malmö, Sweden

In the first instance constituted under the moniker Eskimo Chain the group stylistically developed from Syd Barrett imitators, via art rock and psychedelic post-punk to mantra rock. Featuring core members Christian Ekvall and Karl Alm (guitars, vocals, keyboards) OCTUPUS RIDE have kept re-forming with different line-ups to this day.

The band's music is dominated by unpredictability, is made of different influences from psychedelia pop and ethno folk to krautrock. 2013 saw the self-named debut release, followed by the acclaimed sophomore album 'II' in 2021.
