Setentia biography
Setentia are an atmospheric death metal sextet from Auckland, New Zealand, in existence since 2009. Setentia's style of death metal is reminiscent of Ulcerate, Gorguts and Deathspell Omega. The classic lineup consisted of vocalist Jasper Russell-Dennis along with guitarists Maxwell Gravelle (who also provides vocals), Cameron Thomson and Jagwinder Singh (who also moonlights as Setentia's producer), in addition to bassist Adam King and drummer Hugo Gravelle.

The band's three-track demo garnered the attention of Finnish label Blood Music, who distributed their debut LP, Darkness Transcend, digitally and on CD in 2016. Hugo Gravelle left the band a year later. Setentia will appeal to modern followers of Ulcerate such as Karmacipher, Zhrine, Nero di Marte, Départe, Noctambulist and Ceremony of Silence.
