Biesy biography
Polish for "fiends," Biesy is the extreme progressive metal brainchild of Polish musician and songwriter Patryk Rzeszutek. Inspired by personal experiences under the daily grind of capitalism, the group, in their own words, "explores how urban concrete life can separate you from reality, but at the same time enables you to cross its borders."

The project's first LP, Noc lekkich obyczajów, was released independently and via the Third Eye Temple record label in 2017. Rzeszutek handled guitar and bass with the help of guest vocalist Mateusz Maryjka (aka Stawrogin; of Odraza and Rzeszutek's bandmate in Gruzja) and drummer Maciej Pelczar (of Outre and Serpentia). While the album's style is a dissonant form of blackened death metal owing more to Deathspell Omega and Ulcerate, Biesy's 2020 follow-up, Transsatanizm, showed a radical transformation in both the band's sound and visual approach. Rzeszutek, now operating under the self-proclaimed "drag princess" persona Faustyna IHS Moreau, handled all the instrumentation and vocals for Transsatanizm, steering the project into more avant-garde realms closer to Thorns and Dødheimsgard.
