Den Der Hale biography
A self-described "post-psych" band from Malmö, Den Der Hale are a Swedish quintet consisting of musicians Pontus Lindskogen, Axel Nelson, Max Bredberg, Ejner Pedersen Trenter and vocalist Mimosa Baker. Den Der Hale were originally known as Insaunas, which featured Nelson's brother Arvid in place of Trenter and without Baker entirely. Insaunas changed their name in early 2019 following a sole album of downcast psychedelic indie folk songs, We Brought Some Days Back.

Den Der Hale's inaugural 2020 singles Pneumothorax and Charlatan's Gospel showed the group's continued psychedelic proclivities melded with a more aggressive krautrock and post-punk approach. Their sound evolved even further on their 2021 debut, Harsyra, demonstrating more complex and expansive songwriting with echoes of Swedish pioneers Pärson Sound and the droning kraut-influenced post-rock of 21st-century Swans.
