Sadja biography
A short-lived satellite of Munich krautrock institution Embryo, Sadja were a raga-rock project which released a single self-titled cassette in 1974. The ensemble came to be when ethnomusicologist and sarod player Kenneth Wells was temporarily stranded with his family in Munich travelling west from India, with Embryo's Christian Burchard and Roman Bunka taking the opportunity to record with him.

Together the three, along with tabla player Shankar Lal, performed live at a handful of festivals and recorded a short, freewheeling album of instrumental jams not far from the style Burchard and Bunka would pursue on 1979's Embryo's Reise album.
