Runner biography
RUNNER was a short lived band, only around for one year and only making one album. This band was formed in 1978 out of a friendship between Steve GOULD from RARE BIRD, and Alan MERRIL from THE ARROWS. Other members include bassist Mick FEAT who was with VAN MORRISON, and drummer Dave DOWLE who was with WHITESNAKE. Oddly enough even though they reached the top 100 with their first album they never toured.

They only made one album, "Runner", which has a high level of vocal harmony and the songs on it are well crafted and very strong. This album broke the top 100 in the U.S., though the band could not make a follow up album because they split because of musical differences.
