Swims biography
Swims is an instrumental Math Rock duo from Sacramento, California, US. The duo consists of Paul Slack on bass and Mark Rocha on drums and have been playing since 2002. Their debut EP was released in 2006 and is distributed by Distile Records in Europe. The band sites many bands as influences like Yes, King Crimson, Hella, Don Caballero, De La Soul, The Doors and many others.

Swims music is mostly centered on Paul Slack's bass playing. The music changes from complex, to melodic, to ambient, jazz and back all over again. Fans of virtuosic playing will find Swims music very enjoyable and the melodic aspect in their music makes the music easier to digest.
