Coptic Light biography
COPTIC LIGHT is a math-rock dream team comprised of members Jon Fine (DON CABALLERO), bassist Jeff Winterberg (ANTIOCH ARROW), and drummer Kevin Shea (STORM & STRESS,a DON CAB offshoot).The band claimed "More Than 30 Years of Progressive And Math-Rock Experience".

In 2005 COPTIC LIGHT released their debut,self-titled EP.Entirely instrumental,and consisting of only three tracks but weighing in at a hefty 44 minutes,it feels as 'free jazz' as math rock gets;all pounding time signature changing drums and stumbling guitar riffs.COPTIC LIGHT has since disbanded and this impressive EP is their only recorded work.

Deeper, more focused and infinitely more technical than many of their peers have managed,COPTIC LIGHT make math-rock that sounds like it should really be jazz fusion.Totally brain melting stuff and highly recommended!
