Thaykhay biography
This Madrid group was formed in September 2005 and features the crunchy electric guitars of Adrian GALICIA, Mariano FUGILLO's keys and voice, and Alberto PARANTON on bajo (a 12-string bass/guitar). The trio (and an unknown drummer) achieve a nice, unoffensive mix of heavy rock with softer introspection and acoustic passages.

Occasionally reminiscent of the MARS VOLTA, PEARL JAM, TOOL and later period PINK FLOYD, the band is successful at bringing these elements together on their 2007 debut 'Tan Cerca del Sol' released on Subunder. The band made their third album "Horror Vacui" with the new drummer from BRAZILIAN GIRLS, Aaron JOHNSTON. It contains the cover of DAVID BOWIE "Grace Under Pressure."
