Notturna biography
NOTTURNA is a progressive metal band from Trieste, Italy consisting of Michele Rizzi (guitars, vocals), Christian Hirsch (drums), and Roby Cosmini (bass). NOTTURNA was formed in 1987 by Michele Rizzi and had early success winning regional and national music competitions which enabled the band to play at Palatrussardi and the Forum in Milan. The band recorded their first mini-cd "Un'altra Luna" but due to marketing problems and misunderstandings with the band's management the demo wasn't released.

In 1997, the band started to record their debut album "Illusioni" which was finalized in June of 1998 at the Palace recording studio in Udine. It was remixed by Fulvio Zafret, co-produced and distributed in collaboration with Guerrino Perovich on Blueattomusic label in Trieste.

1999 to 2001, the band played support for TIMORIA, TIROMANCINO and MEGANOIDI.

In November of 2005, the band self released their second full length album "Le Tue Ali" by Music Box.
