This Is Your Captain Speaking biography
THIS IS YOUR CAPTAIN SPEAKING is a three-piece post rock band from Melbourne, Australia comprised of members Nick Lane (guitar, mandolin), Steve Ward (guitar) and David Evans (drums).

The band came to have international critical acclaim upon the release of their self-released debut "Storyboard" in May 2005. The band was immediately signed to now defunct UK label Resonant Records who re-issued their album in Europe in 2006. Shortly after, the band went on tour around Europe and UK, including a performance in Belgium's Rhaaa Lovely Festival where they played alongside Deerhoof, 65daysofstatic, Piano Magic, Grails and 31knots.

2 years later, in November 2008 the band released their follow-up to "Storyboard" entitled "Eternal Return" which the band released through their own label. "Eternal Return" has been described by U.S. critics The Silent Ballet as "perhaps the most important record of the year".
