Lac Placide biography
LAC PLACIDE is a progressive metal band from Paris, France formed in October of 1997 by Archiviste Demurger (bass) and Sénéchal Morin (guitars) who wanted to widen their musical expression. Archiviste asked Rebouteux (drums) and Bourgmestre Ville (keyboards) to join the band. A few weeks later Sa Majesté Roy and Rôdeur Renaud joined the band on vocals.

During the summer of 2000, the band recorded their first three track demo "Welcome (You're Not)."

Dissatisfied with studio experiences the band was determined to conserve their own production liberty and decided to record and produce their debut album "Away" on their own.

In April of 2005, they recorded an EP "Freedom from Their Hands" which two of the three titles appeared on the band's second album "Closer."

In May of 2007, Sa Majesté Roy left the band and would be replaced by L'Apicultrice in November.
