Gorge Trio biography
Gorge Trio is a instrumental rock group that rose from the ashes of COLLOSSAMITE, which disbanded in 1998. This Oakland based experimental rock band is comprised of John Dietrich on guitar, keyboard and electronics, Chad Popple on drums, vibraphone and glockenspiel and Ed Rodriguez on guitar, piano, organ and marimba. They released their first album entitled ?Dead Chicken Fear No Knife in 1998 followed by For the Loss Of? split with Milo FINE on the Italian label Freeland records. In 2004 the band collaborated with Italian band A SHORT APNEA on the album ??.Just Arrived.? During that same year the band released ?Open Mouth, O Wisp.? Gorge Trio are an explosive group who play music much in the vein of SUN CITY GIRLS and DEERHOOF. Highly recommended!
