Disappearer biography
US outfit DISAPPEARER can trace it's origins way back to 2003, when Jebb Riley (bass), Thomas Moses (guitars) and Ryan Begley (drums) came together to form a new band following the demise of hardcore outfit There Were Wires.

At the onset the band explored an instrumental variety of metal, inspired by and similar to the output of acts like Pelican and Isis. This facet of the band's early musical history soon was documented on their inital effort, the sellf-titled Disappearer EP released in 2006.

As the band started to work on their first full length album other impulses started to seep into their musical exploits though, and with new man Matt Spearin (drums) replacing Begley and Riley taking up vocal duties as well as instrumental ones a new musical chapter was written for this promising US band, as documented on their 2009 album The Clearing.
