Lunar biography

LUNER are one of the forerunners of Croatian post-rock. They were formed in Zagreb in 1998, in the ashes of noise rock band GONE BALD - Bojan (drums) and Nixa (bass) decided to start another band. They changed a few guitarist through their career: Franjo and Mexo (from the math band PEACH PIT), Sven and Sasha (from DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS), and finally they settled down with Mijo, Davor and Vlado having three permanent guitarists in their line-up.

The band was working with slow pace; they released their debut 'There is no 1' in 2000 for Carnival Tunes, Delboy Records, and 'Turbo' for Moonlee Records in 2004. in the meantime, the band record the album called 'First And Last Lost' but the albums was lost due to the malfunction of the digital recording equipment. Thanks to that, 'Turbo' was recorded in fully analog equipment.

LUNAR plays instrumental rock varying in style from MOGWAI to noise, from TORTOISE to space rock. A highly artistic unit with uncompromisable integrity: during their early years, they were nominated for a Croatian rock award - which guys from the band rejected, stating that music is not a sport competition that needs winners and awards.
