Futurum biography
Futurum was found in 1983 by guitarist Milo? Morávek & keyboardist Roman Dragoun (both from PA featured group Progres 2), who at first wanted to have Futurum as side project (different music style than Pink Floyd-esque style Progres 2 was following back then), however it grew up into full time band when guitarist Emil Kopřiva (Synkopy, also on PA) and drummer Jan Seidl joined. Group was influenced by King Crimson, Talking Heads and UK. They started touring in 1984, when they also released album Ostrov Země (Island Earth) with lyrics by poetrist Soňa Smetanová.

Late in 1984, bass guitarist Lubomír Eremiás joined and in 1985, saxophonist Leopold Dvořáček (and Morávek left), with releasing second album in 1986. Then they toured and in 1988, they began work on third album, but soon, Dragoun and Seidl left the band (for Stromboli, also on PA) with Futurum ending year later. In 2005, musicians reunioned and till now, they are playing from time to time on various gigs.
