Broken Melody biography
Italian act BROKEN MELODY was formed in the spring of 2006 by Francesco Palmieri (vocals), Roberto Ortu (guitars, vocals), Riccardo Cherchi (guitars), Gabriele Viviani (bass) and Francesco Usai (drums), initially as a traditional heavy metal act. 2007 saw the band spending a fair amount of time in the recording studio, with the end results of these sessions materializing as the EP If You Want to Fly in June and the full length debut album Face the World in August. Later on Cherchi opted to leave, and was replaced by Emanuele Ninu (guitars).

With a new line-up in place and a slight development of their sound taking place, 2008 see the band exploring their new nuances by way of recording a demo tape. Following contracts with distributors, labels and promotion agencies Broken Melody hits the studio again in 2009, and in October their second CD Mirroring Identities is released.

The band seems to have many plans for the future, and the latest news from them is that 2011 is going to be an eventful year for Broken Melody.
