Herbe Rouge biography
HERBE ROUGE were an obscure French Avant-Jazz rock outfit with a large (three- or four-piece) horn section family featuring saxophones, clarinets, trombone or trumpet, formed around the frontman & composer Olivier Foy in 1970s. They had played on stage with some RIO / Avant bands like Univers Zéro, Bise De Buse, or Art Zoyd, and been much inspired also by Jazz Rock and Canterbury Scene. HERBE ROUGE released their one and only album 'Côté Cour, Côté Jardin' (1978) via a French independent label Scopa Invisible. 'Côté Cour, Côté Jardin' was reissued in 1997 by another French label Legend Music, with twelve bonus tracks.
