Unhold biography
UNHOLD is a Swiss Post-Metal band that has been active since 1992. They describe themselves as a hybrid originating from early nineties metal and noiserock drenched in hardcore's disenchanting worldview and gutfelt rage. The band closely resembles other progressive sludge like NEUROSIS, ISIS and PELICAN.
The name of the band is actually a German word 'Unhold' meaning 'ogre', 'misfit', someone maladjusted and unwilling to please.

Their first album Walking Backwards was released in 2001, soon followed by Loess in 2004. The third release Gold Cut from 2008 bears the closest resemblance to ISIS, with a similar laid-back atmospheric approach to NEUROSIS' legacy.
