Exence biography
EXENCE (formerly known as ESSENCE) was a progressive thrash/death metal band from Florence, Italy that originally formed in 2000. The band's last lineup was made up of Massimiliano PASCIUTO on vocals, Federico PULERI (of VISION DIVINE and SEVEN GATES) on guitar, Mirko SERRA (of ONYRICON, TIAT5, and FROZEN TEARS) on bass, and Francesco BRIZZI (of HOLYLAND) on drums. As ESSENCE, the band released their little known debut EP, "Ferocity", in 2000, and a demo titled Dynamics in 2005.
In 2008, the band changed their name to EXENCE. The band was signed to Punishment 18 Records and they released their first full length album, Hystrionic, in 2009. However, in February of 2010, the band announced that they were splitting up, due to the fact that they did not think they have had the leverage necessary to continue as they wanted to.
