Returning We Hear The Larks biography
RETURNING WE HEAR THE LARKS is the solo project of English musician JAK NOBLE, started in 2009 after he dissolved his previous solo project SINS OF THE WATCHMEN. Named after a poem by English war poet Isaac ROSENBERG, RETURNING WE HEAR THE LARKS is a much more experimental output than previous solo projects for young multi-instrumentalist NOBLE, who records and mixes all of his material in his bedroom. Though primarily instrumental, thematically, his music deals with much of the same wartime themes as ROSENBERG's poetry, as well as thoughts on space and time.

RETURNING WE HEAR THE LARK's music has gained a strong fanbase in the djent community, with heavy use of djenty tones and polyrhythmic grooves akin to djent forefathers MESHUGGAH and contemporaries PERIPHERY, he also delves heavily into soundscape and ambiance experimentation alongside bands like VILDHJARTA, UNEVEN STRUCTURE and CLOUDKICKER. To date, RETURNING WE HEAR THE LARKS has released four EPs, two compilations, and three full-length, all of which are available to download through NOBLE's Bandcamp page.
