Kollwitz biography
KOLLWITZ is a Norwegian Post Metal band featuring a wide array of talented musicians from the local music scene of Bodø, Norway. The lineup features Stian HANSEN on drums, Torbjørn HAFNOR on bass, guitarists Endre NJOS and Thomas HANSSEN, Frederik HILLESTAD and Jørgen R. HOLMEN on keyboards/vocals.
It didn't take the members long to assemble the lineup and relocate to Oslo, where the band began exploring and broadening their sound by incorporating and mixing together Sludge Metal progressions with beautiful melodies and brutal noise-oriented vocal arrangements.

The band's debut album titled "Like Iron I Rust" was released in early 2010, right around the time when Post Metal was in turmoil after the disbandment of ISIS. If you're one of the ISIS fans who was tormented by the idea of not hearing a followup record to "Wavering Radiant", then KOLLWITZ is definitely a band worth exploring.
