MØN biography
MØN is an excellent new post rock band from Paris, France. MØN were formed in 2004 and have released so far two studio albums and an EP. The band is comprised of seven young musicians inspired by Nordic landscapes and culture. The name of the band comes from the name of a Danish island from the Baltic sea.

MØN build their musical identiry upon the classic post rock sound with melancholic guitar build-ups and chamber instruments ending in crunching guitar crashes. Organ sounds and vocals make a surprising but adequate appearance. The music is versatile, sometimes starting dark and ending optimistic during the same track. In their calm moments the band is similar to A SILVER MT. ZION and BELLE ORCHESTRE, while in their more aggressive moments they resemble 65DAYSOFSTATIC. In general, MØN can be easily recommended to fans of GY!BE, MOGWAI and SIGUR ROS.
