Indignu biography
INDIGNU are a new post rock band from Barcelos, Portugal. Formed in 2004, the band has released so far one studio album in 2010, titled Fetus In Fetu.

INDIGNU play a brand of post rock that unsurprisingly relies heavily on electric guitars but ventures beyond the usual genre stereotypes and into the mainstream alternative rock songwriting, which they tackle without losing the progressive contents. The instrumental sound sometimes reminds of post-grunge, the vocals of the hardcore scene (but also of JEFF BUCKLEY), and occasional acoustic moments come to bring relief and eclecticism. Emotional melodies and contrasting distortion are the main feature of the band's style. Their own take on cathartic crescendos exhibits an exceptionally dirty, gritty sound that is rare in post rock.

Recommended to fans of MOGWAI, MONO, JUNG PEOPLE, LABIRINTO.
