Choose Your Own Adventure biography
CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE are an instrumental Post Rock trio formed by guitarist/vocalist Russell Holbrook in 1997. In 1999 he moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA and met the other two members: Justin Ansley (drums) and Jacob Coles (bass). They released three albums: La Mancha (2000), Let 'Em Work, Let 'Em Live (2004) and The Long Defeat (2004); the last two are supposed to be parts 1 & 2 of the same album.

Their sound has been described as brooding instrumental post-punk with harsh and dissonant guitars. At one time they used to open shows for EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY. The other two members left while Russell Holbrook still performs as CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE. He is currently based in Mableton, Georgia, USA.
