Celestial Oeuvre biography
CELESTIAL OEUVRE were formed in New York City in 2004 by vocalist Joe Acaba and keyboard player Jose Damien, who sadly passed away on 19th July 2007. However the roots of the band can be traced back as far as the seventies when the two musicians played together in a band called DEMIAN, though no recordings were released. In 2005 their debut album "Second Chance" was released with drummer Hector Lopez and guitarist Joe Nardulli completing the line-up.

Musically the band describes themselves as neo-classical progressive rock in the old tradition with a modern edge and are largely influenced by seventies prog giants such as YES, ELP, KING CRIMSON, JETHRO TULL, GENTLE GIANT AND DEEP PURPLE with YES being a particularly strong influence.

A second album "This Mortal Coil" was released in 2009 though with the passing of Jose Damien the future of the band would seem in doubt.
