Astrakan biography
Astrakan, a fusion band from London, formed in 2004, was originally the Astrakan Collective. Keyboardist Michael Garcia writes most of the band's material, which combines structured material with improvised passages. The band also indludes Raymond Hardy on saxophones, Jerry Wiggins on guitar, Oli Mayne on bass and Dave Fowler on drums. Recently Mayne has been replaced by bassist Jeff Spencer, and Celia Lu has been assed on vocals and keyboards.

Their music shows influences from bands such as Henry Cow, Hatfield And The North, and even Frank Zappa.
