Viatrophy biography
VIATROPHY is a progressive deathcore band formed in 2005 in Reading, England by guitarist Gurneet AHLUWALIA and vocalist Adam MAYES. The lineup was completed with bassist Gavin THANE, guitarist John JONES, and drummer Craig REYNOLDS. Musically, the band shares some stylistic characteristics to other deathcore bands, but they forego most of the over-production and major label-cash ins for a much more epic, melodic, progressive, and quality sound. They have become known in the London metal scene for their energetic and intense live performances as well as their originality within the deathcore's dried-out scene.

In 2007 the band signed to Siege of Amida records after releasing their first demo in 2006 to record their debut EP, "Chronicles." The EP displayed the band's ferocity in the studio as well with their blend of energetic deathcore with melodic flourishes and experimental atmospheres. The band followed their EP with their self-titled debut full length album in 2009, which continues their trend of creative technical deathcore. The band broke up in 2010 but reunited the following year for a tour of India.
