Delta Cepheid biography
DELTA CEPHEID is a progressive death metal band from Germany. In its primary form, the band was a project of Michael GASCH and Christian KUCKA (both guitars) that started playing together and composing. To build a full band, more members needed to be called in and Ronny GARZ (drums) was the first, after the duo appreciated his abilities playing in many local bands. At the time, GASCH was still active with his main band, DEATH REALITY that split in 2007. After the split, vocalist Jürgen NAUMANN, who knew the duo from the local scene and his work was free and was recruited after some trials. In 2009, the line-up was completed with the addition of Frederick BEYER on bass, while Christiane MÜLLER also joined the band providing backing and additional vocals. The band started converting their ideas into songs which resulted in their debut album ''Entity'', which was self-released in December 2010 and re-released in March 2011 by MDD records.

DELTA CEPHEID's sound emerges from brutal death metal, filled with technical blast beats and intricate drumming, but also borrows from fusion, Swedish Death Metal, mid-tempo melodic breaks and female vocals.
