Vélooo biography
Hailing from Pau, a town located in South Western France, VÉLOOO started as a quartet of two guitarists (Yoan Puisségur and Jean Philippe Straebler) and the rhythm duo of Julien Lacoma and Féderico Acosta. The band's approach to experimental instrumental rock is one signaled by the electrifying mixture of avant-metal, prog-metal, psych-rock and stoner within a consistent heavy prog framework.

The band's namesake debut EP was released in 2008, which was preferentially disseminated through the A Tant Rever Du Roi label's official site ( and Bandcamp blog. The EP's contents pretty much reflect what VÉLOOO sees in itself as a musical unit. Four years later, as a trio sans Straebler, "Même Pas Mal" was released (also disseminated in Bandcamp) as a testimony of how the band was willing to move forward toward ampler sources of sonic energy despite the slight reduction of its line-up. Definitely, VÉLOOO should be regarded as one of the most amazing heavy prog bands from Continental Europe nowadays.
