(The) Slowest Runner (In All The World) biography
(THE) SLOWEST RUNNER (IN ALL THE WORLD) is a six piece Post-Rock group from Brooklyn, New York, USA. Some of the members are originally from Montreal. They refer to themselves as instrumental post-baroque and have noticeable classical influences. Piano and strings are important elements of their sound. Like some other Post-Rock groups, they like to have little publicity and let their music do the talking for them.

The members are: Ian Temple (piano); Jeremy Young (guitar, tapes); Jesse Perlstein (bass, electronics, howls); Hunter Jack (violin); Gillian Jackson (cello); and Jake Chudnow (drums). They released their first full-length album We, Burning Giraffes in June, 2010. Most of the members are involved in other musical projects. May appeal to fans of MOGWAI or newer groups like BULLETS IN MADISON, MAYBESHEWILL and CASPIAN.
