Grande Duke biography
Based in Derby, UK, GRANDE DUKE plays a mixture of Post rock, jazz, and Math rock. The band was formed in 2007 by Sean KENNY and Rich(ex-Felusia End) & Bazz BARRADELL(Beyond This Point Are Monsters). Rich was soon replaced by the fantastic Chris TREE(ex-Aqua Vista,Chris Martin) on guitar duties.

GRANDE DUKE members describe their music as having rolling base lines, instrumental tunes that amble along, smooth yet slightly discordant, slightly jazz, slightly post rock with tracks that sound like gentle genre-crossing jams that groove. Styles and time signatures are cheerfully gobbled up in one bar and spat out in the next with a complete disregard for any sense of convention. GRANDE DUKE is a fine progressive post-rock flavored jazz beast that you need to let breathe, expand and reveal itself.
