Otis Grove biography
OTIS GROVE began in the Boston area as a collective experiment in crossing the traditional organ jazz sound with funk, hip-hop, and rock tones. By 2004, the band had settled into a permanent lineup of Sam GILMAN on Hammond organ and other keyboards, Tyler Wayne DRabick on guitars, and Blake GOEDDE on drums. The band describes their sound as if jazz organ legend Jimmy SMITH had been the fifth member of LED ZEPPELIN, or if THE METERS had joined forces with BLACK SABBATH.

Their heavy sound has led to a regular gig in the Cambridge, Massachusetts nightclub The Middle East, as well as gigs with such notables as John MEDESKI, Billy MARTIN, JGB (formerly THE JERRY GARCIA BAND), and others.
