SACRIFICE TO SURVIVE is a progressive metal quintet from Jacksonville, FL fronted by Emily ALDRIDGE. Their style ranges from darker, heavy music, to catchy pop-punk with uplifting choruses, to ambient and plenty of musical moments to keep the listeners hooked, all with melodic female vocals.

Formed in late 2009, the band consisting of drummer Patrick GARREN, vocalist Givaren, and guitarist Matt STOOPS began to write and perform recordings written by STOOPS. They released a free 4 song EP in early 2010 and spent the remainder of the year writing and playing local shows around Florida. After a few line-up changes, the band settled in to record and release their second EP in 2011. While recording the first few tracks, they decided to expand upon the EP and record their self-titled full length album. The album was released on 10 December 2011 featuring Emily ALDRIDGE on vocals, Matt STOOPS on guitar, Ted SISAK on bass and Cory STEWART on guitars and backing vocals.
