Unwed Sailor biography
US band UNWED SAILOR is the creative vehicle of composer and bassist Johnathon Ford. The project was born in 1998, and from 1999 and onwards he has steadily produced albums using a constantly revolving cast of musicians for studio and live purposes. The first concrete result of this project was the "Firecracker EP" in 1999, and in 2001 the first full length album "The Faithful Anchor" appeared. "The Marionette and the Music Box" followed in 2003, and in 2006 the EP "Circles" came as well as the full length production "The White Ox". The most recent full length album by Unwed Sailor is "Little Wars" from 2008, and in 2011 the "Tour EP 2011" appeared. Unwed Sailor is still an active entity, and the most recent constellation of the band consists of Johnathon Ford, Nathan Price, Bryce Chambers and Philip Phillips.

Unwed Sailor's brand of post rock have seen them compared to bands such as Explosions in the Sky and Tortoise.
