Amusia biography
Despite their moniker, Canadian band AMUSIA is not tone deaf. Rather, drummer Mike EDIN, bassist and keyboardist Shafer CARSON, guitarist Chris HOGAN and vocalist Adam NAQVI have crafted an engaging blend of catchy, complex heavy rock. Amusia cites influence from classic groups like LED ZEPPELIN, JETHRO TULL and RUSH, as well as modern members of the alt metal scene like TOOL. The band released its debut album, Time Will Tell, in 2010. Since then, the group has been busy touring and testing out new material around their native Vancouver.

Musically, Amusia recalls both the ballsy, pretentious pop of MUSE and the symphonic prog flavored metal of ANGRA and IRON MAIDEN. Add in an aptitude for remaking acoustic versions of their heavier material, and a tongue-in-cheek approach to posting example pictures of T-shirts on the band?s online store, and there?s a lot to like. Keep your ears clean.
