Phoenix Down biography
This Las Vegas band is composed of Phil BERGER (guitars, keys, vocals), Daniel CRAIG HARRIS (bass, vocals), Charles WILLEY (drums, percussion, vocals) and Bryan RISENBAUM (vocals, keys, percussion). The band had released 2 studios and 1 live album before their hiatus in 2006. In 2012, they re-released the first CD ''The Cycle of Strife'', which contains a epic song of 18 minutes that dates back to 1996. The band is planning on recording in 2013, a new CD: ''The Dawn of Oblivion''.

The music of PHOENIX DOWN is progressive rock with a hard and metal edge, but the band can quiet things down to let the songs breathe a little more. Their musical influences are RUSH, YES and some other heavy prog bands. The band have worked with producer Sam Taylor (KING'S X, ZZ TOP, GALACTIC COWBOYS), and now are with Steve Thompson (GUN'S ROSES, METALLICA). The band has done plenty of covers of songs from classic rock bands, and there's a possible release of a cover CD in 2013.
